Okay sorry for all the pictures. Thats what happens when you don't post in a while.
So...... what's going on in our house?
Luke is doing well. He has his 4 month check up in a few weeks. I'm sure he weighs 15 lbs now :)
He was sleeping through the night when he started daycare, b/c he wasn't sleeping very well there, but now he's back to going to bed around 7:30 and getting up anywhere from 1-3 and then he usually stays up around 30 or 45 mins and then back to bed. its really nice that the kids to go bed at the same time so we have our own time to spend together before we go to bed.
Luke laughed for the first time may 25th. of course he did it with D at home and I missed it :( He is such a happy baby. he smiles all the time and is just a joy. he is babbling more and more. He loves to "sing" with me :) I think we have a music lover on our hands. Hope he gets his daddy's talent.He is a big fan of Sugarland :) He literally tries to crawl when you lay him on his stomach and has extreme head and neck control. He's been holding his head up on his own for about a month now. he daycare teachers tell D all the time how "advanced" he is :) L also loves to stand up. I keep telling him to stop trying to grow up so fast. He apprently didn't hear me when I told him to stay a baby forever and be my little cuddlebug. I'll have to remind him of that:) He is wearing size 2 diapers. he can wear 3-6 month onesies but theres not much wiggle room. 6 month onesies are a little big but are much more comfortable for him :) pitiful I know. he still eats every 3-4 hours during the day. 5 ounces. Of course the child that eats so much is on the most expensive formula. We've started buying it on ebay cause its that expensive. they only sell his formula at target and its almost 30 dollars for one can that doesn't even last a week(yikes!) Is it pitiful that I already know the theme for L's first birthday :) but I haven't started buying stuff so that's good right?
Wow these posts get long when you have to write about 2 kids :)
So let's see whats new w/ J? Nothing too new. He got a haircut last week w/ D. I knew he needed a cut but now that all his curls are gone, i miss the curls. maybe we'll let it grow back out. he looks too much like a big boy w/ his hair short. my boys have to stay little forever. why are they not listening to me??? ;)
J is adding more and more to his vocabulary everday. he is just so smart it is unreal. He blows D and I's mind everday w/ what he comes up with. I do love seeing things through his eyes and hearing all his fun stories. He loves to play in the kitchen. loves to help us cook dinner. he is such a big helper with everyone. he still loves to cuddle up w/ L and help us out w/ him. Somtimes he's a little rough w/ L but not cause he means to, just cause he doens't know. So needless to say we don't leave them alone together :) it'll be interesting to see what happens when L crawls :) I have more pictures on my home computer that i'll have to post :)
We had family pictures made this past Sunday at the arboretum. It was really hot and the kids weren't in the best of moods , but we'll see. We had to bribe j a lot w/ sweethearts and suckers :)I hope she got some good ones!! Hopefully they'll be ready for me to look at either today or tomorrow! I know I won't like any of the ones of myself, just cause i'm that critical but I hope theres some cute ones of the boys!
D and I were really wanting to go to the beach this summer but we just don't think its very practical this year. J would love it, but having L it would be too hard. So we're going to go to the mtns. sometime in the fall. There's more for the kids to do anyways. Plus L is so hot natured he would be miserable at the beach. I'm in the middle of looking at cabins. anyone have any good recommendations let me know. Family vacations are a whole lot more stressful to plan w/ 2 :)
