Take Me Out to the Ballgame....

Yeah! we went to the Alabama Baseball game last night! We had sooo much fun! We kinda went back and forth on whether to go or not and in the end I decided we should go. We have such a routine schedule every day so every once in a while I try to change it up and do something fun. It doesn't always go well cause J is such a homebody and not a night person that he's not always the happiest in the evening. Well we chanced it and didn't look back. We had a great time! We had hot dogs, cotton candy, nachos, and dippin' dots! I'm so going to have to get a second job to feed this kid when he gets older.(leave it 2 me 2 make this post about food) J didn't care too much for the cotton candy cause he didn't like the stickiness on his fingers. He made friends w/ the dippin' dots lady and she gave him some to try and he wasn't sure about it at first but he liked it after a while! J sat and watched the game and we all had a great evening! At one point I looked over at D and said well is this all you'd hoped it would be?He kinda got a lil' teary eyed (sorry D) and just grinned. I can't tell u how many times we've driven past the baseball stadium and D would say "I can't wait to take my kid there" Then once we had J he would say "I can't wait to take my son there." Last night will probably be one of those memories that I will keep with me always! Now for the pictures , you didn't think I would not have any did you?

Sad News

So we have 2 dogs that we love more than anything in the world D and M. We love them so much but about 6 months ago they got some fleas and so we sent them outside to the backyard where they have stayed since then. We got rid of all the bugs but i've just been afraid to let them back in. Now they've gotten agitated from having to stay in the yard and so now their digging out under the fence argh! 2500 to put in a privacy fence! So I guess what D and I have decided to do is try and find them another home. Their the sweetest dogs but its just not fair to them. We don't get to spend as much time w/ them as we'd like and they don't get the attention they deserve. Here in the next few weeks i'll be making some phone calls to try and see what our options are.... Anyone know of anybody let me know :(

I don't Wanna Work, I wanna bang on the drum all Day

This past weekend was great! We had lots going on but it was fun... beautiful weather I might add. Saturday J and I met a friend of mine and her little girl at the park and had a wonderful time. We took advantage of the gorgeous weather and put the kids in their bathing suits and let them play in the water fountain. It took them both a while to get used to the fountain but once they figured out it wasn't going to hurt them:) they had a ball. Only wish is that they had the area enclosed so I didn't have to keep chasing J around. I really wish Tuscaloosa had a big water park for toddlers and kids that was enclosed so you could just let your kids run around and play. All the parks around here are not really for toddlers and their all always so crowded. The rec center pool has stuff for kids but my goodness its so crowded its ridiculous! maybe I just need to talk D into putting a pool in our backyard;)...... OK enough complaining for now. Also last post I told you about this tray I got for J. Well we used it out this morning and he did great. He ate his oatmeal creme pie and watched his cartoons and did great! I now know what I'm going to be giving out as gifts to little kids! FUN! I'm going back to the fun store today for more baby gifts!

Now I'll leave you with pictures:

J w/ his Friend L

Pardon the oatmeal pie all over it.... Isn't it so cute:)

Here I Go Again on my Own....

Yea its Friday!!! Almost 5!!! YIPEE!! So no big plans this weekend. Tonight we have family coming in, Saturday D is working and J and I are going w/ friends to the park 2morrow to play in the water since its supposed to be 85 degrees! I better put some sunscreen on my little pale baby:) His legs look like his mommys (poor thing) I hope he isn't like me and can tan... Sunday we might be going home for Decoration, haven't decided yet we're just going to play it by ear. No matter what we do i'm just looking forward 2 having my son w/ me .....
Side note: a co-worker and I found a kids store here in Tuscaloosa that we're in love/obsessed with! They have the cutest things and even better their prices are cheap and even better monogramming is included w/ everything! We've already been twice this week. I bought J this really cute tray w/ a dog on it and his name. Of course I don't have my camera w/ me so i'll take a pic this weekend and post it Monday! Stay tuned
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and stays cool!

Amazing Grace

I wanted to add another thing that J is saying... J says "Aunt D" .. not that she threatened ahem I mean reminded me to post this :) luv ya D

*Personal Note:

Thank you god for all that you provide. I'm always in awe of what a great and mighty king you are. Those moments where you wonder how your going to make it through and then BAM! he provides. I shouldn't be shocked but yet I still am. Thank you god 4 always protecting me and comforting me in times where I might forget (eek) that you always will take care of my family and I. I sometimes stumble, sometimes fall but you always pick me up and brush me off... thank you ... How great is our god!

Sorry I know this post is all over the place but just thought i'd show off a shirt i'm in love w/:

Just another Manic Monday

This morning I was scrambling to get everything packed so we could leave. Of course i'm running late as I am every morning. Well i'm packing J's bag for daycare and the fridge is open (mistake 1). of course J comes in the kitchen and starts playing in the fridge(mistake 2) next thing I hear is BAM! Never a good sound. I lookdown at the floor see my jug of strawberry Kool-Aid which means RED is on the floor w/ kool-aid spewing out. AWESOME! So I hurry 2 pick J up so he won't soak his clothes, throw hand towels down to soak up what I could. Needless to say I used probably 30 handtowels. If your wondering why I didn't use regular towels, I didn't have time to get those. This kool-aid was moving at the speed of light. of course i'm running late so I don't really have time 2 clean it up. So when D gets home this afternoon he'll have a sight to see. I can only imagine the questions he will think of when he sees our kitchen floor covered in hand towels:) Just another manic monday:)

My Baby

Just thought i'd write a little post about what all J is up to now. He is 17 months old w/ the energy of a 5 yr old. I swear he wears me out in just a few mins(this has nothing to do w/ me being out of shape)

Right now J is saying all kinds of stuff. Most of the time I have no idea but heres what he's saying that I know:
ball
juice
mine
no-no usually while pointing his finger at something (he he wonder where he gets this from)
bye-bye
kenny
Re-Re (short for Rita)
his daycare teachers names are Sherry & Alaina (i'm told he says these names but I haven't heard them yet.
Sally (one of his friends)
Moo-cow
Denny
Dog
Yummm :)
bite
Theres more I just can't think of them right now. He's so cute right now!!
We've been reading his bible every night which has been really nice. I enjoy that time w/ him.
He's now learned to take his diaper off - Yipee!
He has such a sweet tooth is unreal :) I blame Memaw
Him and D feed the dogs together every night. he scoops the food out and carries it to their bowl. Its so cute.

Gone and Done It

Easter came Easter went. Easter is over.... as sad as I am to see it go, I'm also in a way glad. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love having family all around close enough to go and visit but its also very tiring going from family to family. I don't take anything for granted and certainly not family but traveling back and forth with a young child does start to take its toll on ya after a while. None the less we had a wonderful weekend w/ our families. J got lots of goodies and lots of attention. He did a lot better than I thought he would as far as the whole "egg hunt" activity went. He actually walked to the eggs picked them up and put them in his basket. FUN! of course this only lasted about 2 minutes but that's okay. We got to see lots of family and even got to take a family picture w/ all my husbands 42 member family how great! Thanks A for doing such a wonderful job. Thanks to everyone who was so patient and cooperative. I know it was a lot for some to travel but thnx for making the trip! I know that is will be something that will be forever cherished. Its one of those activities that you say that you want to get done but never end up doing it. So glad everyone pitched in to get it accomplished. Thanks NaMaw!
Here's a tip to all of you who always say you want to get a family pic: GO DO IT! Why put off till' tomorrow what you can do today. You never know what the days will bring so get those pics while possible.
On a side note: my stinky car wouldn't start this morning after I dropped J off so I had to call D to come and get me to take me to work. My car is in the shop as we speak. Pray I won't have to pay an arm and a leg to get it out... Its such a mess w/ you have car troubles.

~at the end of every post I'm going to list things I'm thankful for and things that i'm praying for

THANKFUL :
1. that I even have a car to break down
2. i have someone to come help me when my car breaks down
3. family that loves and supports us
4. I have a god who loves me always even though at times I may not deserve it
5. My families health

PRAYERS:
1. my car
2. husbands job-steadily decreasing his hours not good
3. J's cold
4. economy-not looking good
5. D has put in several places for new jobs. if he's meant to go somewhere else God will send him.

Of course I left my camera at home to upload pics of Easter but will definitely be posting some tomorrow if I remember:)

Jacksons first class picture:

Class of 2009:

Its Easter Time!

So it is almost 5:00 yea! D and J just left-they came to visit me at work... how fun! Their having a fun day today together. I'm jealous but glad cause I know they have lots of fun 2gether. Busy weekend ahead of us. Tomorrow we're leaving to go home and do Easter egg hunts, pictures, eating, and more Easter egg hunts. I'm so excited to spend time w/ family and anxious to see how J will do w/ Easter egg hunts. He loves to run so he probably will have fun. I got all the stuff for his basket I just gotta get a basket now. D and J are running by Wally World as he speak and D is supposed to be getting a basket. I saw supposed to cause he never remembers to get what he went in there for. We'll see. Also D's dad is doing great w/ his surgery. He's supposed to go home today so that is great news! He's up and walking and says he's feeling okay. I hope to not get caught up in all the hoopla of Easter and really remember the real reason we're celebrating. Don't get me wrong I love doing the hunts and the pictures but I want to make sure that I really remember the reason we are here. Our great lord died for us! He arose for us! I want to make sure that I make it a point to teach J all these great things. Thank you god for all that you have blessed us w/. All we have is from you and we are blessed beyond words. Thank you god! I hope everyone has a blessed Easter and has wonderful time w/ family and friends. Hooray! Can't wait to see pics!

Dancin'

and now introducing for the first time making their debut:
The Glass Dancers

Its too late to apologize.....

Sorry its taken me so long to write back. I know I haven't given an update on J's sickness.
Well the dr's never knew what was wrong w/ him so they just chalked it up to a fever virus. J pretty much slept all day friday and saturday.sat night I went out w/ some girls from our sunday school class and we had a great time. We also found some great bargains at the mall(i got D a cute pink tie for 7 bucks!) Come Sunday J had gotten his energy back and was rarin' to go. So off to church we went. As usual we all had a wonderful time-J played his little heart out...so much so that when we went to pick him up from sunday school his was asleep in his teachers arms:) We pretty much hung around the house Sunday until Namaw came to visit that afternoon. She was coming b/c our church was having their communion/easter show and D's in the choir. The show went really well. the choir did an amazing job and the dancers and drama cast did great as well. They also had a student praise team that sang and they were phenomenal. I always wish that I had a beautiful voice that I could just belt out but sadly that is not the
case:( So for now i'll just belt out to my family:) Tonight we r leaving to go to Namaws to spend the night and 2morrow we will leave out from there to go and visit D's dad who is having hip replacement surgery. J will be staying w/ Namaw. I know they'll have a great time. I'm sad that J won't be going w/ us but glad as well cause it would be a long car trip and plus entertaining toddlers in a hospital waiting room is noo fun! I know J will have a much better time at Namaws. D's aunt is also in the hospital so we have lots of people we are keeping in our prayers. On a side note:seriously you have to pay a dollar everytime you leave the hospital parking lot... thats just ridiculous...

It'll all be alright, i'll be home tonight, just let me go home.....

My Baby a.k.a. Stinky Pete

J's sick.. Not sure w/ what yet though. He was feeling very sickly last night and threw up a couple times, then got up at 2 a.m. and threw up again. He's so pitiful it just breaks ur heart. This morning he was very clingy but was acting a little better. So against my own advice I took him to daycare and sure enough they call me at 9:30 telling me he's running fever and not acting like himself at all. So I pick him up, meet D at the pediatrician (by the way love my pediatricians office, I call at 9:30 tell the nurse his symptoms and am promptly offered 2 appt times, one for 10:30 and one for 2:45... How great is that) so anyways he gets weighed (24 lbs) temp taken (99) and we wait for the dr. normally we have 2 wait a while but seriously like 3 mins after the nurse left the dr was there.GREAT!! For all that have kids you know how awful it is to have to wait w/ a sick kid at the doctors office(TORTURE) so the dr(not his regular pediatrician that we LOVE but thats ok) checks his:

ears-clear

stomach-feels fine

bowel movements-fine

dehydrated-no

throat-little red so she did a swab to check for mono...... shortly after this test J gagged so much he threw up all over D who was holding him-poor baby

well mono test is negative so then they did a blood test (This is where I had to leave 2 go back to work , blessing in disguise cause I can't stand needles) although it was extremely hard. But D's got him

Well blood test came back fine so they put a bag around him to try and get a urine sample. They waited a while to try adn get one but he never peed so D is taking him home now (yes w/ the bag, I tried to get D to explain to me how this contraption is actually attached to him but it was hard 4 me 2 understand over the phone) D will take him back once he gets the urine sample and they will check that. If thats fine then they don't know and we'll just continue to give him liquids. Thankfully D and I were already off 2omorrow so we can stay home w/ him and give him lots of love and attention..... Its so sad whenyour children are sick. Babies are exceptionally sad and frustrating cause they can't tell you whats wrong and as thier parent all u want to do is make them better a.s.a.p. Please keep us all in ur prayers as we try and figure out the source of his sickness and try to nurture him back 2 health. I know that God is w/ us and he will take care of us. God is great god is good.... At times like these I can't help but think of all the wonderful parents out there that have to deal w/ this on a daily basis w/ their children and how strong they are in their faith and themselves to handle this. I am in awe of the strength of parents sometimes. I know its God who carries them through their journeys and gives them the strength and it is so great to have someone in our lives who will do this for us. AMAZING

Here is a picture of Happier Times-Makes me smile:
