Bet you all are wondering where I've been, huh? Well no I didn't jet off to some great vacation or win the lottery and drop off the face of the earth. No I'm still here. My work got pretty strict about our Internet usage and truthfully I just have lots more to do at my lunch breaks than to blog right now. And I'm definitely not ever here at work before time to blog. So... but D and I are planning on buying a laptop soon so I'll be able to do whatever I want at home. I know seriously are we like the only ones without Internet at home?
Also D has been working out of state for the last few weeks:( J and I missed him very very much but he's home now for a little while so that's nice. He's supposed to be home for several weeks but still might have to go back but for now I'm just going to enjoy him being home.J is for sure glad that he is home. Every morning and evening he would ask, Daddy? Daddy? and it just broke my heart to have to tell him daddy wasn't at home and that he would be gone for a while. SO Sad!
I'm trying to think of everything that has been going on since my last post. Not too much here. OH yea hello... biggest news ever.. We found out that we are having a BOY!! D and I are very excited! We've tossed around a few names Logan Barkley or Luke Barkley and some others. Not sure of a final one yet but at least we do have some names if we can't think of anything else. This little boy inside of me is moving all the time now! I started feeling him move a couple weeks ago but now he is moving all the time and its so fun to feel! I'm feeling a lot better sick wise which is soo nice! I am 19 weeks today and we go to the Dr the 20th for my U/S appt. Can't wait to see our little guy on the screen. J is saying baby all the time and constantly giving my belly kisses. Its soo sweet. I pray that they are close to each other and can share sports and activities together. I know siblings fight, especially boys but I do pray that deep down they will have a special bond and grow to be really close. Wish me luck:)
We had our first ER trip w/ J :( He fell off the couch Fri night and cut his ear on the coffee table. We rushed to the ER (I should have known better) only to be told by the triage nurse to just sit down and have a seat. she said she had several people in front of J and she couldn't tell us how long we would have to wait. HELLO? my not even 2 yr old son is bleeding profusely from his ear and needs stitches and you want me to sit and wait?? Not Hardly!!! So we left and went to another medical clinic where they took J back and stitched up his ear. Worst night of my life. J was strapped to a backboard screaming and crying hollering"mommy they got me mommy they got me" Kills me to even type this. Of course 20 mins after the snitching ordeal he was up chasing D around the curtain.. go figure. We get his stitches out Friday which I was told my D and the doctors that it doesn't hurt, just tickles. It better not hurt cause I do not want my little boy to be in anymore pain. He really hasn't bothered with his stitches at all since he got them. I'm glad their up on his ear where he doesn't really see them and its not on like a finger or something that he has to use all the time. Of course his school pictures are today... HA HA GO figure. But I know he'll look cute no matter what. Even if he does have a big band-aid on his ear :)
What else... We took J to the fair sat night. As you can imagine he got lots of love and attention this weekend. We rode the carousel and D bought him some blow up sponge bob thing that J picked out. We had a lot of fun. J just kept saying "WOW" ... I'd pay every dime I had to see that little boy smile. Its the best feeling ever.
We plan on taking J to the pumpkin patch this coming Sunday. We were going to take him last Sunday but he developed a pretty nasty cough sat and it was just muddy and icky out anyways. Hopefully this weekend will be a lot prettier. Sat is homecoming and I want to take J to the parade but we'll have to see how the weather is and how J is feeling. D has to to work which stinks but we'll see. At least D is in town working so that is good.

Here are some pictures that I have taken lately. I have no stitches pictures just cause it makes me cry even looking at his ear, much less to take a picture. D took one on his phone so if you're desperate to see, you can ask him for it:)

D recently celebrated his 30th birthday. This is the cake that J "helped" me decorate. What can I say its definitely homemade:)

Days Go Bye

15 weeks today yeah! I'm definitely getting/got a little belly. They say you gain weight quicker and show quicker with your second one and I definitely believe it. I was stressing to D about all my weight gain and so I guess you have to be careful what you say cause all weekend I threw up any and every thing I ate. I've been having a lot of problems with eating lately. If you know me, you know this does not make me happy :) Every time after I eat I feel like theres this knot in my throat and the only way to feel better is to (sorry) throw up. I'm thinking I have really bad acid reflux with this pregnancy or something. So I have my appt w/ the dr tomorrow and we will definitely be talking to him about this. I am so not a fan of meds during pregnancy, as you all probably know but I got to have something for this. I am pregnant, I am supposed to eat what I want and be full and happy. I've been craving Olive Garden and I refuse to spend my money on all that yummy food if its not going to stay in my belly. Hopefully we'll get some answers tomorrow.
I've been walking in the evenings and its been really nice. We usually all go together which makes for a fun walk :) J usually collects sticks on the whole walk and somehow I end up carrying them :) He He Fun Times.
D and J were supposed to go to the game Sat night but that didn't turn out so well. Fri night I got really sick and it pretty much lasted until Saturday afternoon. So I laid in bed all day Sat eating my yummy saltines :) We sent J to Namaw's in case I had some sort of stomach bug. I really wanted D and J to go to the game but D refused to leave me (insert Aww How Sweet :) So J rode tractors and other various farming equipment instead. Of course he had a blast. Makes me happy he had fun but so sad that I couldn't be with him. It was so hard on me to be away from him since my husband immediately quarantined me from everyone else but I knew I had to do it to take care of myself and the baby and to keep J from getting sick. Man this is hard. I want to take care of the baby but I want to be with my other baby as well. OH well we're figuring it all out day by day. I love my family and wouldn't have it any other way.

Long Time Gone

Sorry I've been away for a while. Work is getting pretty strict with Internet usage so I can't really get on except for lunch.Nothing new here really.I'm not as sick much which is great! I go back to the Dr on the 16Th and then the next appt should be ultrasound to find out what we're having!!! Anyone want to take guesses? D is convinced its a girl and i'm convinced boy so we'll see.
Football season is here and I'm excited!! Not because of the actual football that my husband will be watching every night for forever but b/c of steak sandwiches, tailgating, cute outfits to dress j in, cool weather,Halloween, and then Christmas!! I love this time of the year YIPPEE! We still haven't decided if we're going to go to the quad next weekend or not. That's a lot of traffic and a lot of time and heat. Chasing a 2 year old for hours can make for a long day. We might wait until it settles down a little before we take him down. I just am ready to get my awesome steak sandwiches!
I pretty much have all of J's Christmas gifts done which is great. We're cleaning out the guest bedroom to turn into J's new big boy room:( His furniture will be here this week and we're starting on painting :) I think we're going to do 3 white walls and then one wall red with roll tide written on it, maybe. Still not 100%.I want to do a Alabama theme but not over the top Alabama. I can't believe he's moving to a big boy bed. He is growing up so fast its killing me. I know he'll love it though.
There's a new website I'm loving right now. I know most everyone knows it but its etsy.com They have the cutest kids clothes. I just ordered my cousins baby a cute houndstooth pillowcase dress! It is soo cute! I'll post pics when it comes in. Hopefully soon.

ALL THAT AND MORE

So I know i'm behind on my blogging. I blame the pregnancy hormones. :) Nothing too new to post here. I'm now 11 weeks. I have my next doctors appt tomorrow. I can't wait to hear the heartbeat. I love that! I'm definetly not going to look at the scale:) My clothes still fit fine but I just don't want to know. I didn't look w/ J and it made me happier not to know. I don't want to stress about it, so not knowing suits me just fine. I'll put some belly pictures up when I have an actual baby bump and not leftover's from J :) Sorry i'm sure no one wanted to know that. Here are some pictures of J's first day in his new class. He looked so cute.
Let's see. What else is new. I ordered all of J's summer wardrobe from the childrens place last week when they had thier summer clothes on clearance. So he is totally set for next summer. D and I went through J's closet this weekend and got 2 bags full of clothes that don't fit anymore put in the attic. When we were going through his closet I found lots of clothes for this winter that I had bought him last season so he's half-way set for this winter as well. Yea for buying a season ahead. I still have to get him some jeans and pants and a couple sweaters but that shouldn't be too bad. I'm going to the Little Lambs consignment next week so i'm going to try and get all his winter clothes out of the way and hopefully a few christmas presents as well. My goal is to have him totally set that way when we found out what the baby is,especially if its a girl we can just buy baby clothes and don't have to worry about J. If its a boy I definetly don't need to buy ANY clothes. Yea for planning ahead!
I got J's new nap mat for his class yesterday. Its so cute. I got his name monogrammed on it and I love it. He loved the monkeys :) I know you can't really see the design very well but you can go to wildkin's website to look at it. A local store here carries all thier products. So cute!

J and D enjoying a nice Sunday dinner D cooked. They love sitting in front of the TV. Mommy only lets them do this every once in a while :) Its so fun to watch J eat corn on the cob. He eats it until there is not one lil' piece left.

Pictures of You, Pictures of Me

Seriously J would sit for hours and watch the "moo cows". He loves Moo cows! So much so that I asked Namaw for a lil' calf to put in our backyard. I think she's still considering it, ha ha :)

J fell asleep on the 4-wheeler:) Seriously?

First day of school

So J started his first day in his new class. Should be interesting. They don't sleep in cribs anymore, they sleep on mats. Bless the teachers. They do story time, music time, art time, and all sorts of fun stuff. I can't wait to get all his fun drawings! Of course he was totally fine with it. I was getting ready to leave this morning when I said alright J mommy's gotta go to work, give me bye kiss. Well he turned around gave me a kiss went back to his toy and without even looking up said bye-bye :( Tear. I'm glad he's happy. I hope that he has a fun day and things go smoothly for everyone. He looked really cute this morning but I didn't get a picture, GASP! I even had the camera in my car! No worries i'll take it this afternoon when I pick him up. See all better. I have more to post. We went home for the weekend and visited w/ lots of family. But more on that later. Right now i'm sipping my ginger ale and sprite. one guess what that means.

Morning sickness- I wish

Whoever coined the term"morning sickness" obviously didn't know what they were talking about. Its not morning sickness. Its all day sickness. 24-7 sickness. Round the clock sickness. and on and on and on... Anyone see where I'm going with this?
With J I usually just got sick in the mornings and then was pretty much good to go. I did get sick a lil' in the evenings but not bad. Or else I've blocked it from my memory :) With this baby it is a different story. I'm still sick in the morning but also in the afternoon into late evening. Evening is my worst time. I hate it. Yes I hate being sick but more than that I hate not being there for my family. Evenings are our family time. Since J is in daycare all day evenings are very much cherished in our family. They are the few hours we all have together. Well not lately. Poor D has had to really do a lot more since I'm usually not good for anything in the evenings. D has been just so wonderful. He takes care of dinner, he plays w/ J, he bathes J and everything in b/w. I am so blessed to have him. He hasn't complained not once. He's usually off on Fridays so those days he spends cleaning the house, getting the laundry caught up and taking care of anything else that needs to be done. Seriously I don't know how he does it but I'm so grateful that he does.
I hate that I'm so useless right now but I'm kind of stuck b/w a rock and a hard place. I want to rest and take care of myself and this baby but on the other hand I'm frustrated cause I'm missing out w/ my other baby. As many of you know when I'm pregnant I try very hard to watch everything I eat and drink. I don't drink caffeine and I follow all the guidelines for food. I try to take as little meds as possible and so on and so forth. My wonderful husband also helps keep me in line. He's agreed to go off caffeine w/ me this pregnancy. We'll see how that goes. But anywho bottom line is I really try hard to watch the things I put in my body. Here in lies my second dilemma. I know there are drugs out there for nausea but again if I can help it I try not to take anything. I never took anything w/ J but its a whole new ballgame w/ this one. Well last week I talked w/ D and told him that I couldn't do this anymore. I told him it wasn't fair to him or J for me to be out of service. So to speak. I hated missing out on things w/ them and I wanted to be a part of what they were doing. I mean I missed J going pee-pee in the potty for the first time. So we talked about it and I said I would call my nurse and see if she would call me in some meds. Well I know someone on the phenegen(sp?) and she said it made her sleepy. Well I didn't want to be on anything sleepy cause that would defeat the whole purpose of what I was trying to accomplish. Being functional for my family. So the nurse put me on zofran. I picked up my prescription Friday and was shocked. $33.00 dollars for a 10-day supply. 2 pills a day. It also stated in the drug pamphlet that this drug is used for cancer patients when their going through their chemo. Yikes. Curiously D asked the pharmacist how much insurance covered on the drug. She said well the price was originally $360.00 dollars so you saved over 300 dollars. Yikes again. Well I said I would only take it in the evenings and if I needed it.
I took it Fri night when D and I had our "date" and felt pretty good. YEAH! I'm still skeptical of it and am not going to take it if I can get away with it but I am very thankful that I do have something now to help me feel better and get in some quality time w/ my family.
